What is Naturopathic Medicine?
How are naturopathic physicians trained?
All modern licensed naturopathic physicians have Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine degrees from federally recognized medical schools. Their education includes the same premedical undergraduate coursework required by other schools of medicine, graduation from a four-year, federally recognized, naturopathic medical school and two full years of supervised clinical internship.
Naturopathic medical students study the same basic and clinical sciences as do other medical students, and in addition, a full spectrum of natural medicines and therapies.

Some of the therapies offered at Carefree Health Path:
Intravenous Therapy and Orthomolecular medicine;
Two – time Nobel Prize winner Dr. Linus Pauling describes orthomolecular medicine as preventing and treating disease by providing the body with the optimal molecular environment, especially optimum concentrations of substances which are normally present and natural to the body. The term "orthomolecular" was first used by Linus Pauling in a paper he wrote in the journal Science in 1968. Intravenous (IV) infusions of vitamins and minerals directly into the blood stream are the safest, most effective method to correct intracellular nutrient deficiencies associated with disease.
Over the years, numerous protocols have been developed by nutritionally oriented physicians. They are specifically aimed at focusing on a host of health issues. At Carefree Health Path we have only the very best protocols utilizing intravenous therapies of medical schools, personal experience, and physicians from around the world.
Many therapies can be customized for individual health concerns. A few therapies may include high dose vitamin C therapy, chelation, oxidation therapies, and many others.
Vitamin C alone has been found to have cytotoxic effects against most cancer cell lines in vitro (NIH division of Diabetes and Kidney diseases). These in vitro concentrations are easily achievable in vivo with IV C. The mechanism appears to be intracellular accumulation of H2O2. Vit C has also been found to potentiate the effects of chemo (Zaizen, et al., J cancer Res Lin Oncol, 1986; Prasad, et al, Pol J Pharmacol and Pharm, 1992; Koch and Biaglow, J Cell Physiol, 1978) and radiation therapy (Hanck, Prog Clin Biol Res, 1988) and can be found at this link; http://linchitzipt.com/files/Chemotherapyovercomingresistance2008.pdf The following are a few of many research articles for your review. i. This link shows several more research articles on ozone therapy. Every person experiences some level of pain during their life. Pain not only has various causes, each person’s response to pain can be unique.

Bio-oxidative Therapy;
Tumors thrive in hypoxic (low oxygen) environments and a prolonged cycle of ozonated autohemotherapy may correct tumor hypoxia, lead to less aggressive tumor behavior, and represent a valid adjuvant during or after chemo- or radiotherapy. Moreover, it may re-equilibrate the chronic oxidative stress and reduce fatigue. PMID: 15865491 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE]
a. Ozone selectively inhibits growth of human cancer cells
b. Ozone therapy improved oxygenation in the most hypoxic tumors
c. Ozone in combination with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) makes a 5-FU-resistant cell line susceptible for the combined treatment modality
d. Exposure to ozone at 0.8 part per million inhibited cancer cell growth more than 90 percent
e. This preliminary Doppler study supports the clinical experience of achieving improvement by using ozone therapy in peripheral ischemic syndromes.

j. May oxygen-ozone therapy improve cardiovascular disorders?
International peer reviewed medical journals hundreds of articles have been published reporting positive outcomes of medical ozone research and application for a range of pathology. Most of these were published since 1990 and are accessible on Medline.
The word "CHELE" is Latin for the claw of a crab, and the Chelation process is essentially as if a "Crab claw" wraps itself around a heavy metal molecule, and then gives it free passage out of the body.
The body has a need for about 70 friendly trace element heavy metals, but there are another 12 poisonous heavy metals, such as Lead, Mercury, Aluminum, Arsenic, Cadmium, Tungsten, Nickel, etc., that act as poisonous interference to the body. No matter how many good health supplements or procedures one utilizes, heavy metal overload will be a detriment to the healing and other functions of the body.
Heavy metal overload in the walls of coronary arteries seems to decrease levels of Nitric Oxide a compound known as "Endothelial relaxing Factor," and without this substance normal blood flow is impeded, increasing the risk of Vascular blockages.
Heavy Metal Overload in the Adrenal Glands reduce the production of Hormones, which cause early aging, stress, decreased sex drive and aggravation of menopausal symptoms. Heavy Metal Overload can lead to Neurological Diseases such as Depression and loss of thinking abilities. All these toxins can accumulate in your tissue from the environment and are often highly toxic and potentially carcinogenic. Please go to this site http://commons.ucalgary.ca/mercury/ or click on the following link for an outstanding video documenting how mercury destroys brain cells.

Biological Detoxification
The concept of detoxing or cleansing the body of toxins and chemicals is ancient. With our world becoming increasingly more toxic, since we can become toxic simply by breathing, eating, and drinking. A body full of toxins simply cannot function properly. When toxins are eliminated, common improvements that are noticed are increased energy, improved immune function, improved mental clarity and overall sense of well-being as well as improvements in digestive function and decreased risks for disease.
Pain Management
During the doctor’s consultation, it is important to establish the type of pain, degree of severity and complexity, and certainly the underlying cause.
Some techniques to utilize with pain management may be prolo therapy, neural therapy, acupuncture, nutrition, identifing potential for infection in relation to the pain, and perhaps a more standard approach.
PROLOTHERAPY
First, it is important to understand what the word prolotherapy itself means. "Prolo" is short for proliferation, because the treatment causes the proliferation (growth, strengthening, and formation) of new ligament tissue in areas where it has become weak. Prolotherapy is also known as Regenerative Injection Therapy (RIT), and it facilitates the body’s own healing mechanisms to repair damaged tendons and ligaments in the treatment of connective tissue weakness and musculoskeletal pain. Prolotherapy uses a natural solution, (not steroids)
The treatment is useful for many different types of musculoskeletal pain, including and not limited to;
Arthritis Back pain Neck pain Fibromyalgia Sports injuries Carpal tunnel syndrome Chronic tendonitis Partially torn tendons Ligaments and cartilage Rotator cuff injuries Degenerated or herniated discs Sciatica The response to treatment, of course, varies from individual to individual. The average number of treatments is typically from 3-6 for each area. The best thing to do is get an evaluation at Carefree Health Path to see if you are an appropriate candidate. Please click here for more information on prolo!
Trigger point injection therapy
Trigger point injection (TPI) is used to treat extremely painful areas of muscle. Normal muscle contracts and relaxes when it is active. A trigger point is a knot or tight, ropy band of muscle that forms when muscle fails to relax. The knot often can be felt under the skin and may twitch involuntarily when touched.
The trigger point can trap and/or irritate surrounding nerves and cause referred pain — pain felt in another part of the body. Scar tissue, loss of range of motion, and weakness may develop over time.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture promotes balance to the whole body.
Acupuncture corrects the body by balancing energy patterns, known as qi. There are over 2,000 points on our body that can be used to treat a wide range of ailments from chronic pain to high blood pressure.
Relief from Delayed Food Allergies and Sensitivities
Do you suffer from fatigue, irritability, achy joints, chronic headaches, constipation, stomach pains, or poor immune function?
Our personalized food allergy plan is based upon your blood analysis to determine underlying food allergies and sensitivities.
Using food in place of medicine is far from a new concept. Greek physician Hippocrates, born in 460 BC., once said; "Leave your drugs in the chemist's pot if you can heal the patient with food."
Bio-identical hormone therapy utilizes hormones that are similar to those found in the body, unlike commonly prescribed synthetic hormones. Why not take hormones that are naturally recognized by the body while decreasing the level of risk often associated with conventional hormone replacement therapy.
Upon examination of the hormone levels via standard blood work and clinical evaluation, hormones are then individually tailored to each patient. Please note the hormone form on top of this page.
