                               Medical Microdermabrasion:
Skin Resurfacing can reduce the effects of aging on our skin. Years of sun exposure and the aging process take their toll on the skin, creating lines, wrinkles, and changes in texture and color. Not only is the face a likely victim of these changes, but the neck, chest, cleavage, arms and hands may be affected as well. Skin Resurfacing is a treatment that improves wrinkles, skin texture and color by removing the top most layer of skin, leaving it more supple and vibrant. Skin Resurfacing also stimulates the elastic tissue beneath the surface of the skin, resulting in a healthier and firmer appearance. The DiamondTomeTM Skin Resurfacing treatment is non-invasive, pain-free and requires no down time after treatment.
At Carefree Health Path we utilize the DiamondTomeTM Skin Resurfacing treatment with the diamond encrusted wands to sweep and vacuum the skin, so you get a more even abrasion without the sodium bicarbonate crystals and certainly without the aluminum - oxide crystals other clinics may use.
The length of the treatment and number of treatments vary depending on skin type and condition. Results are gradual but highly effective. Most people experience softer, smoother skin after their first treatment.

Juvéderm™ can also provide augmentation of the lips for more natural looking fuller lips, marionette lines.  Juvederm™ typically lasts 9-12 months.

 Restylane is a safe and natural dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin correcting facial wrinkles and folds, such as the nasolabial folds, fuller lips, marionette lines (folds between the nose and mouth). It is composed of non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid that is a substance found naturally in our skin and joints. The ability of hyaluronic acid to bind to water is what helps provide long-lasting results.  Restylane® typically lasts 4-6 months. What exactly is BOTOX® Cosmetic?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium. It is a popular non-surgical injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Within days, you may see an improvement that can last up to 3 - 6 months. Results may vary.      

 

Lipodissolve
Sometimes, all the diet and exercise in the world can still leave you with parts of your body that hold too much fat. But, liposuction might seem like an extreme solution, and many of us will avoid surgery if we can help it. Those who are obese should not undergo Lipodissolve™ treatments for reasons of safety and decreased effectiveness. Proper diet and exercise and/or perhaps liposuction are better alternatives for these patients.

What is LipoDissolve?
LipoDissolve is a procedure which helps dissolve fat. The procedure has been around for at least 3 decades and widely used in Europe. Lipodissolve™ is a non-invasive treatment, and there has been no record of permanent or life-threatening side effects since the procedure began being offered in Italy in the 1980s. It basically involves a series of small injections of chemicals which dissolve localized areas of fat deposits.

How much area can be treated in one session?

Generally 2-3 large areas are treated in one session. The swelling and tenderness does increase with the volume of injection and this is a limiting factor for therapy sessions.

Is LipoDissolve Effective?

The results of LipoDissolve are variable and the results are dependent on the size of the area treated. The majority of individuals show a loss of at least 2-6 cm per treatment. The highest fat loss typically occurs in the waist/belly and the lowest fat loss occurs in the legs.

Lipodissolve™ Benefits

Lipodissolve™ offers many possible benefits. To maintain the proper level of self confidence for daily business and social interactions, individuals need to feel comfortable and satisfied with their body features. Lipodissolve™ offers a non-surgical method of enhancing your appearance where your previous efforts have failed. Because the fat is gradually chemically liquefied and removed by the body’s own processes, the treatment is gentle. 

How many treatments are required?

This strictly depends on the area and size of the fat deposits, in most cases, 3 - 5 sessions may be required. Each session lasts about 30-45 minutes. At least 4-6 weeks are allowed in between each session to allow for the full effect of the therapy. The procedure is strictly elective and is done in a relaxed atmosphere.

Lipodissolve™ Risks: Possible Side Effects

Lipodissolve™ risks are surprisingly minimal for a procedure that offers such impressive benefits. Some side effects can occur, but in a vast majority of cases they are minimal and temporary. Within the first few hours of undergoing treatment, a minority of patients experience symptoms of dizziness, fever, sweating, or fainting. Some short-term side effects at the injection sites may include mild swelling, bruising, itching, and general discomfort in the area that was treated. You may also experience mild, intermittent diarrhea as your body converts the broken down fatty structures into waste products. Some women have reported the occurrence of intermenstrual bleeding as a result of hormones secreted by the broken-down fat cells. Lipodissolve™ is not recommended for anyone who currently has any of the following medical conditions:

  • HIV
  • Hepatitis C
  • Active cancer
  • Liver disease (active or end-stage)
  • Kidney disease (active or end-stage)
  • Bleeding disorders
  • Diabetes
  • Pregnant
  • Nursing

Some patients who have undergone Lipodissolve™ report feeling lumps deep under the skin. Described as being similar to calcium deposits, these nodules under the skin might be slightly tender. However, they are a common (and temporary) result of Lipodissolve™. The lumps develop as the fat is dissolved and dissipate soon after the body has completed the process of filtering out the remaining fat in the treated area.

When will I see results?

The results of LipoDissolve are gradual and take a few weeks or even months to become obvious. Results of smaller areas become more noticeable in a few weeks but most individuals require longer. A loss of 2-3 inches of fat usually requires at least 3 - 5 sessions and results may take a few months. Lipodissolve™ is still in the process of being studied and reviewed for approval by the FDA.
