Chelation And Detoxification of Heavy Metals and Toxins

It is no secret that environmental toxins, including heavy metals and chemicals, can lead to serious illness and disease symptoms of every sort. At Carefree Health Path we have an excellent understanding of this ‘environmental medicine’ or chelation field as being one of the top physicians in Arizona. Dr. Eihausen has extensive experience, education, and has attended several IV and chelation seminars that teach specific chelation protocol therapies for optimum results. He has what it takes to do this chelation therapy correctly and safely at his naturopathic clinics.
In keeping with the concept of discovering causation to your health concern or disease, we can indentify, understand, and move these toxic environmental substances out of your body. Thus reducing your risk of serious illness, speed your healing and recovery, think more clearly, and help you live a life of optimal wellness and vitality.
Below are a few of several articles revealing some of the threats these toxins are to you and all living organisms.

Heavy metal toxicity is rampant. Mercury is a very powerful poison. It is the second most toxic naturally occurring substance on earth and more poisonous than lead, arsenic, and cadmium. The body has no need for mercury and there is NO safe or harmless level for it. Even one atom of it can damage your body. It has been scientifically proven that highly toxic elemental mercury is released from amalgam silver dental fillings as a vapor and will, over time, accumulate in your body.

Dr. OZ on his television program, gave a welcome review of some toxins including mercury... “When mercury gets into our bloodstream, it goes right to our brain and attacks our nervous system. Left untreated it can cause permanent neuropsychiatric brain damage, learning disorders in children, autoimmune disease, and even heart problems." See the link here

Sources of mecury are quite extensive. Mercury is emitted to the air by human activities, such as manufacturing or burning coal for fuel, and from natural sources, such as volcanoes, dental fillings, some foods, light bulbs and more.
Exposure also occurs during mining, production, and transportation of mercury, as well as mining and refining of gold and silver ores. Mercury is commonly found in thermometers, manometers, barometers, gauges, valves, switches, batteries, and high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps. It is also used in preservatives, heat transfer technology, pigments, catalysts, and lubricating oils.

How mercury enters the environment

Graphic showing mercury emitted from power plants, wet and dry deposition into water, and bioaccumulation in fish, leading to mercury exposure for people and wildlife
In 2004 EPA and FDA issued the first-ever joint consumer advice about methylmercury in fish and shellfish. This advice was for women who might become pregnant; women who are pregnant; nursing mothers; and young children.
Recent emissions estimates of annual global mercury emissions from all sources, natural and anthropogenic (human-generated), which are highly uncertain, are about 4800-8300 tons per year.

Moving up the food chain

When mercury falls in rain or snow, it may flow into bodies of water like lakes and streams. When it falls out of the air as dry deposition, it may eventually be washed into those bodies by rain. Bacteria in soils and sediments convert mercury to methylmercury. In this form, it is taken up by tiny aquatic plants and animals. Fish that eat these organisms build up methylmercury in their bodies. As ever-bigger fish eat smaller ones, the methylmercury is concentrated further up the food chain. This process is called "bio-accumulation".

The concentrations of methylmercury in large fish can be over a million-fold larger than in the surrounding water. EPA discussions of estimates bio-accumulation can be found in Chapter 6 and Appendix A of the Water Quality Criterion for the Protection of Human Health:

At Carefree Health Path we use various therapies and Chelation to address this issue of excessive body burden acumulation of heavy metals and chemicals.

The body actually has a need for approximately 70 friendly trace element heavy metals, but there are another 12 poisonous heavy metals, such as Lead, Mercury, Aluminum, Arsenic, Cadmium, Nickel, etc., that act as poisonous interference to living organisms.
No matter how many good health supplements or procedures one utilizes, heavy metal overload will be a detriment to the natural healing and natural functions of the body. The main threats to human health from heavy metals are associated with exposure to lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic. These metals have been extensively studied and their effects on human health regularly reviewed by international bodies such as the World Health Organization.

Increased body burden of heavy metals in the walls of coronary arteries also seems to decrease levels of Nitric Oxide a compound known as "Endothelial relaxing Factor," and without this substance normal blood flow is impeded, increasing the risk of vascular blockages.

Heavy Metal accumulation can lead to Neurological Diseases such as Depression, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, dementia, nervous disorders, and others!
There are many well-known examples of chemicals that can cause cancer in humans. The fumes of the
metals cadmium, nickel, and chromium are known to cause lung cancer. Vinyl chloride causes liver sarcomas. Exposure to arsenic increases the risk of skin and lung cancer
. Leukemia can result from chemically induced changes in bone marrow from exposure to benzene and cyclophosphamide, among other toxicants.

Chelation therapy at Carefree Health Path is used to identify and remove these poisonous heavy metals and chemicals that are too often found in the body at increasing concentrations.

Chelation Therapy

The word "CHELE" is Latin for the claw of a crab, and the Chelation process is essentially as if a "Crab claw" wraps itself around a heavy metal molecule, and then gives it free passage out of the body.
The body has a need for about 70 friendly trace element heavy metals, but there are several other poisonous
heavy metals, such as Lead, Mercury, Aluminum, Arsenic, Cadmium, Tungsten, Nickel, etc., that act as poisonous interference to the body. No matter how many good health supplements or procedures one utilizes, heavy metal overload will be a detriment to the healing and normal functions of the body.
Heavy metal overload in the walls of coronary arteries seems to decrease levels of Nitric Oxide a compound known as "Endothelial relaxing Factor," and without this substance normal blood flow is impeded, increasing the risk of Vascular blockages.
Heavy Metal Overload can interfere with the production of hormones or can even mimic hormones. This can cause early aging, emotional and cognitive changes, decreased sex drive, sterility, cancer, and aggravation of menopausal symptoms and much more. Heavy Metal Overload can lead to Neurological Diseases such as Depression and loss of thinking abilities. All these toxins can accumulate in your tissue from the environment and are often highly toxic and potentially carcinogenic (cause cancer). Please go to this site

Chelation therapy is then used to identify and remove these poisonous heavy metals and
chemicals that are too often found in the body with increasing concentrations.
